4.波导不匹配负载

Waveguide Unmatched Termination

Manufactured with high-grade aluminum or brass bodies and absorptive materials such as silicon carbide, carbon-loaded epoxy or specialized ceramics. Custom flange types, surface treatments, power handling and lengths available. Ideal for radar systems, satellite communications, telecom infrastructure, and high-frequency test & measurement where controlled reflections are required for amplifier ruggedness testing and system validation. Achieves VSWR values from 1.2 to 2.0 across full waveguide bandwidth.

Waveguide Mismatched Load

Waveguide mismatched loads are components that absorb part of the microwave power while reflecting another part, mainly used in microwave measurements. They are typically manufactured as standard mismatched loads with a defined standing wave ratio. By varying the waveguide aperture dimensions, they create impedance mismatch with the original transmission system, thus producing a specific reflection coefficient.

Structure and Fabrication

  • Structure: The structure of a mismatched load is similar to that of a matching load, with the main difference lying in the waveguide aperture dimensions. A mismatched load generates reflection by altering the narrow or broad wall dimensions of the waveguide so that they differ from those of a standard waveguide.
  • Fabrication: The fabrication process is similar to that of a matching load, but requires precise control of waveguide dimensions to ensure the desired standing wave ratio and reflection coefficient.

Typical Applications

  • Calibration of microwave measurement systems
  • Mismatch protection testing for power amplifiers
  • Anti-reflection testing of radar transmitters
  • Directivity testing of couplers
  • Standard reference reflectors in laboratories
  • Anti-interference and anti-mismatch testing of receivers
