It is an ultra-wideband directional antenna with a pair of symmetrical metal ridges installed inside a conventional pyramidal horn. Featuring ultra-wide bandwidth, low VSWR, stable radiation pattern and moderate gain, it serves as a standard wideband antenna for EMC testing, antenna measurement and broadband RF systems.
Structure Composition
Feed Section: Coaxial to double-ridged waveguide transition (50Ω in common use);
Double-Ridged Waveguide Section: Two symmetrical tapered metal ridges (trapezoidal / curved) arranged on the inner broadwall of the rectangular waveguide;
Horn Radiation Section: Pyramidal flaring structure, with the ridges tapering synchronously along the horn aperture;
Bracket & Housing: Made of aluminum alloy or copper to ensure structural rigidity and low transmission loss.
Performance Characteristics
Ultra-wide frequency bandwidth;
Excellent frequency stability across the full operating band;
Superior impedance matching performance;
Concentrated radiation direction and stable beam performance;
Compact integral structure with high structural simplicity.
