L-type Waveguide Rotary Joint, also known as a right-angle waveguide rotary joint in the industry, is the most widely used universal rotary feeding component in microwave and RF systems. One port is arranged along the axial direction of the rotating spindle, while the other outputs at 90° perpendicular to the spindle, forming an overall L-shaped configuration.
Adopting a high-precision non-contact choke structure, it supports infinite 360° continuous rotation. It realizes stable signal transmission between rotating antennas and fixed transceivers, eliminating cable winding, bending and mechanical stress fatigue. Balancing excellent electrical performance, space adaptability and wide operating bandwidth, it features strong universality and flexible system layout, and is the most commonly adopted rotary joint for radar, mobile satellite communication and TT&C antenna systems.

Structural Layout

  • Port Configuration: Axial input at one end and 90° radial output at the other. The rotation shaft is coaxial with the input waveguide, and the output waveguide is perpendicular to the main spindle.
  • Internal Composition: Axial rectangular-to-circular transition, circular waveguide rotary cavity, λ/4 choke rotary interface, 90° waveguide bend, precision bearing assembly and integrated housing structure.
  • Mechanical Support: High-precision sealed bearings ensure high rotational concentricity, low runout, low friction and long service life.
