Double-Ridged Waveguide to Coaxial Adapter (Right Angle) (End Launch)

Customizable options include right angle (90°) or end launch (in-line) geometries, SMA, N, 2.92mm (K), 2.4mm, and 1.85mm coaxial connectors, UG-style square cover flanges, and surface finishes such as gold plating, chemical conversion coating, or epoxy coating per MIL-F-14072.

Double ridge waveguide adapter is an ultra-wideband, low-VSWR, compact microwave/millimeter-wave interconnect component. Its key advantages include wider bandwidth, smaller size, and easier 50Ω coaxial matching compared with standard rectangular waveguides. It is widely used in broadband systems such as radar, satellite communications, 5G/6G millimeter-wave testing.

Core Principle and Structure

  • Double Ridge Advantage: Provides 2–4 times wider bandwidth, smaller size, and higher power density than conventional rectangular waveguides.
  • Waveguide Port: Double ridge waveguide (WRD series: WRD-840/750/650/250/180, etc.)
  • Transition Section: Probe with double-ridge matching, impedance tapering, and choke structure.
  • Coaxial Port: SMA, N, 2.92mm (K), 2.4mm, 7–16, etc.
  • Flange: UG/CPR/FP standard square flanges.

Structural Types

  • End-launch: Straight connection between waveguide and coaxial port, featuring low insertion loss and low VSWR.
