Conical Horn Antenna is a horn antenna fed by a circular waveguide, with a smooth tapered inner wall and a circular aperture. It is one of the three standard gain horn antennas, operating primarily in the dominant circular waveguide mode.

Working Principle
The dominant mode TE11 is transmitted in the circular waveguide;
The gentle conical flare achieves a smooth transition from waveguide impedance to free-space impedance, resulting in low VSWR and minimal reflection;
The aperture field distribution is uniform, with highly symmetric E-plane and H-plane radiation patterns, enabling axial directional radiation.
