Circular Waveguide Termination

Available with custom flanges per IEC 60154-4 standards including UG, CPR, Cover and Choke types. Built with a conical dielectric absorber material, precision-tapered for optimal microwave absorption and minimal reflection. Ideal for radar systems, satellite ground stations, telecom infrastructure, R&D labs, and E-band millimeter-wave test setups where low VSWR termination is critical for measurement accuracy. Complies with MIL-DTL-3954 specifications for waveguide dummy loads.

Circular Waveguide Termination

Circular waveguide termination is a non-reflective absorbing device connected to a circular waveguide port. As a standard matching termination in circular waveguide systems, it fully absorbs electromagnetic wave energy transmitted in circular waveguides within the operating frequency band without reflection, ensuring the waveguide system operates in a traveling-wave state.

Typical Structure

  • Main Body: Circular waveguide cavity.
  • Core Component: Axisymmetric conical absorber.The most classic structure: conical absorbing wedge + metal base.
  • Short-Circuit Back Plate:The bottom of the cone is directly connected to the short-circuit end cap. Residual unabsorbed energy passes through the absorber again to further reduce reflections.
