This broadband circularly polarized horn antenna adopts the configuration of wideband dual orthogonal linear polarized horn plus external broadband 90° hybrid coupler.
This broadband circularly polarized horn antenna adopts the configuration of wideband dual orthogonal linear polarized horn plus external broadband 90° hybrid coupler.
It utilizes external amplitude and phase control instead of narrowband built-in waveguide polarizers,
to achieve high-performance circular polarization with ultra-wide bandwidth, high isolation and switchable polarization rotation.
It is currently the optimal engineering solution for broadband microwave and millimeter-wave circularly polarized antennas.
Dual-Linear Polarization Orthogonal Synthesis
Two sets of orthogonally arranged linearly polarized antennas (horizontal and vertical) transmit or receive electromagnetic waves simultaneously. A fixed 90° phase difference is introduced between the two orthogonal signals to synthesize circularly polarized waves. This design eliminates the need for complex built-in polarizers adopted in traditional circularly polarized antennas, simplifying mechanical structure and reducing overall cost.
Broadband Performance Implementation
The horn inherently provides a wide bandwidth ratio of 10:1 to 20:1, realized by the following methods:
