A waveguide rotary joint connects stationary components while allowing 360° continuous axial rotation. In RF systems, it bridges static radio frequency equipment and rotating RF transmission lines.
Based on the conventional rotary joint structure, the 90° Orthogonally Polarized Waveguide Rotary Joint additionally realizes a 90° rotation of electromagnetic wave polarization direction with the propagation direction kept unchanged.
Structure
It adopts an in-line I-type coaxial layout as the basic form, with both end waveguides arranged in a straight collinear configuration. The interior integrates a built-in 90° polarization twist section, λ/4 choke rotary interface, and rectangular-to-circular mode transition.
It is designed as an all-in-one assembly consisting of a stationary stator, rotating rotor, precision bearing set, multi-stage choke sealing structure, and an internal orthogonal polarization conversion cavity.
