Waveguide Loop Coupler

It forms a four-port network composed of ring waveguide or coaxial lines. The input signal can generate in-phase output or 180° phase difference at two output ports. Arbitrary power division is available in theory, and the -3 dB equal power division scheme is the most widely used in practical applications.

Also known as ring hybrid or 3dB hybrid coupler, it is a four-port, fully symmetrical and high-isolation waveguide passive component. It is mainly used for equal power division and power combination (3dB), as well as 90°/180° phase differential output. It is widely adopted in radar, communication and test systems for balanced mixing, power combining, impedance matching and phase control.
